Welcome to NECA's Employee Relations section. Our aim is to provide members with an indispensable tool that enables easy navigation around and quick answers to a wide range of employment processes, procedures and compliance issues that are likely to arise in your workplace.
The Employee Relations section contains a complete version of the new, modern, Electrical, Electronic and Communications Contracting Award 2010 that applies to all electrical and communication workers employed in Tasmania as well as throughout Australia. Similarly a complete version of the National Employment Standards are provided which are a new suite of minimum terms and conditions of employment applicable to the majority of workers throughout Australia.
There is also commentary on those elements of employment legislation that are most likely to affect members, such as the National Employment Standards, the modern Award, Long Service Leave, Unfair Dismissal, Agreement Making, Right of Entry and Minimum Wages. .
